Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Anti-Racism

Pillar Search & HR Consulting strives to build a world where access to jobs with the best nonprofit organizations and human resources practices are fair, equitable, and inclusive as well as anti-racist.

Pillar fervently believes in enabling every individual to reach their full potential while having their voices heard, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and fairness, equal access to opportunity, and removing obstacles that have caused harm to those who have been oppressed, disenfranchised, and marginalized.

Pillar stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter because EVERY black life matters. The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and far, far too many others have unleashed years of unimaginable pain and suffering as a result of systematic racism and injustice. We must come together to end the anguish.

As an executive search and human resources consultant, I am personally and professionally committed to continuously listening and learning while supporting my nonprofit and mission-driven clients in their racial equity efforts. The actions that reflect this are:

  • Working with Pillar’s nonprofit and mission-driven clients to hire diverse leaders and staff to ensure that nonprofits accurately represent the communities they serve
  • Sourcing and recruiting diverse candidate pools for all searches
  • Ensuring that Pillar’s human resources consulting clients have structures and practices in place that are inclusive and eliminate racial biases
  • I successfully completed my certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University in 2020
  • In early 2021, I became a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter (CDR)

In the words of former President Jimmy Carter, “We are responsible for creating a world of peace and equality for ourselves and future generations.”  Diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism ignite creativity, problem-solving and innovation while strengthening our workplaces. Let’s create that together.

Sincerely,
